Why Do I Have Pain in My Back Often?
The most common causes of low back pain are degenerative disc disease, herniated disks, and nerve root impingement. The most common cause of neck pain is arthritis. Lumbar spondylosis is a degenerative condition that affects the spine and causes sciatica.
Low back pain is generally caused by injury to the lower back or vertebrae from overuse or repetitive activity. It can also be caused by strains, sprains, or other injuries. Low back pain may radiate down the buttocks and legs. If the pain is severe enough, you may have difficulty getting up from a sitting position or walking.
The farther down your spine you feel the lower back area hurting, it’s likely related to a problem in your hip area instead of your spine itself. When you have low back pain, it can affect your hips as well as shoulders and knees because they are all connected at some point in your body.
Injuries to the pelvis (hips) can cause low back pain as well if they are injured during sport activities such as cycling or running.
Chiropractors are highly trained doctors who treat disorders of the spine and nervous system by manipulating the vertebrae and joints. Chiropractic treatment can help relieve many different types of pain, including joint pain from arthritis or disc problems, back pain from injury or illness, headaches and migraines, sports injuries and other forms of musculoskeletal pain.
If you’re experiencing chronic back pain or other musculoskeletal issues, there may be more than one cause. Chiropractic care is a great way to treat several types of conditions at once and speed up your recovery time. Some patients have their first appointment within 24 hours of their initial visit!
